Bulk checks, watching and API
The pages here are free. What is not free is doing this for four hundred subcontractors, class by class, every quarter.
Who does this at volume
- Head contractors and builders. Engaging an unlicensed subcontractor, or one licensed for the wrong class, is a problem that surfaces at the worst moment. The check has to be per class, not per name.
- Insurers and lenders. 13,546 licences sit in a graded financial category rather than self-certification — that is the register's own signal about the size of the business behind the licence.
- Councils, property managers and platforms that list or engage trades, and have to show they checked.
The trap is the same for all three: 38.8% of licences carry more than one class, so “is this person licensed?” has no useful answer. The question is always “licensed for what?”
What we can do on your list
- Resolve a list. Send licence numbers, names or ABNs; get back a CSV with every class of work the licence covers, the grade, the financial category, the postcode, and the ABN where we hold one (we hold it for 52.8% of licences).
- Watch your subcontractors. Give us your list; we compare each collection with the last and tell you what moved — a class added, a licence gone from the register.
- Query it. A JSON endpoint by licence number, to put the check inside your own onboarding.
Priced case by case: resolving 400 numbers once is not watching 4,000 every month. Say what you need and we answer with a figure and a sample against your own data.
Tell us what you need to check
Describe the list or the watch. We reply with a sample run against your own data, and a price. No payment is taken on this site.
Every request is answered by hand. Your details are used to reply and nothing else — see the privacy page.
